The City of Longueuil has implemented a corporate project management system to improve project tracking, cost and schedule control and accountability.

"With this new integrated platform, we will now benefit from a standardized process for managing all of the City's projects," explains Marie-Chantal Verrier, the City's Assistant Director General, Sustainable Development. "This acquisition will allow for even more rigorous monitoring of costs and project progress while providing a reliable overview of them."

By bringing forward the annual preparation of its three-year capital program by almost six months in recent years, the City is putting out many tenders early in the year, which is the most competitive time.

"With an investment portfolio of approximately $200 million annually, the City saves several million dollars each year," said the City.

Mayor Sylvie Parent emphasized "the efforts of the municipal administration, which is constantly working to improve its processes and management tools in order to generate significant cost savings for the people of Longueuil.
